First Church Family:
The holidays are just around the corner. Here are a couple of reminders of things that are coming up:
Saturday, we will provide 125 families with Thanksgiving meals. Even if you haven’t registered as a volunteer, your spirit will be raised if you swing by the church sometime between 10:00am and 1:00pm on Saturday to experience the gift of giving.
Sunday morning will be the first time our “Groovin’” kids play
guitars/ukuleles/buckets/African drums for us in worship. Jon Beal and Jaret Carter are doing a wonderful job with them. Please, don’t miss it. Though this is the Sunday before Thanksgiving, because of the amount of music the children will provide, we will not sing Thanksgiving hymns until the Sunday after the holiday.
Please, remember to get your estimate of giving cards into the office soon. I will pray over the ones we have received by this Sunday in worship this week.
Notice additional announcements that follow and pay attention to future communication, as there will be many wonderful opportunities offered.
