Three Things This Week

Three Things From Pastor Dave
I pray that you enjoyed a safe Independence Day celebration. I’m getting over a summer cold (not COVID), and I chose to keep things a bit simple. But, as time goes by, the freedom and liberties that we enjoy mean more and more to me. I pray they do to you, as well.
First, remember that we worship together this Sunday at 10:30AM in the CLC. Sunday School will precede the service, and Godly Play will be offered for the children at 9:15AM.
Then, please be with us on Sunday afternoon at 4:00PM for our Benefit Concert for Habitat. We’re calling it: Joseph Franklin and Friends, because Joseph will be the primary performer, but he will be joined by our pianist extraordinaire, Patsy Riddle, and saxophonist, Ransom Vance.
An offering for Habitat will be taken up at the close of the concert. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could finish our commitment to build a house for Habitat this fall soon?
Please invite friends to join you. (By the way, I visited the News-Topic on Monday morning to let them know about Joseph and the concert, and it seems they are interested in doing a story. Stay tuned!)
And finally, remember that worship on Sunday, July 17, will be followed by a picnic lunch, grilled by some of the young men in our congregation. There is no charge for the hamburgers and hot dogs, though you can make a donation if you choose. You don’t need to make a reservation for lunch either. Just plan to stay with us.
I’m enjoying looking at some Old Testament heroes in worship this summer. This week, we will take a look at Adam.
I pray you join us for Sunday’s festivities, and that you bring someone with you.

Blessings on you,

Pastor Dave
