All Saints’ Sunday

All Saints’ Sunday

First Church Family,
Over the past weeks, our worship focus has been on promises God makes
to us, all across the Scriptures. Perhaps, the most significant promise is that of spending eternity with God in heaven because of Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the Cross and God’s redemptive act through Jesus’ Resurrection.
This Sunday, November 7, is All Saints’ Day; a time we will recall the lives of those members of our congregation who have gone before us into God’s heavenly presence during the past year. Special commemoration of their lives will be made during both services this Sunday.
Too, we will celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion in our services. Remember that I will consecrate elements in our worship spaces and in your home during the service. We will partake of the bread and wine together at the same time. If you will be worshiping with us online, be sure to have some form of bread and juice prepared and be ready for that powerful moment.
I continue to offer prayers for you and for our church. God has blessed us richly during the unprecedented COVID crisis. With you, I am grateful for those amazing blessings.
Please continue to pray for our leaders and for me as we seek to follow God’s mind and heart during this time.

May God continue to pour His blessings on you,

Pastor Dave
